Press release: „ Power of Cloud + WSN in practice at OpenStack Summit in Austin”
07 April 2016
Leading Cloud architects and engineers from around the world will meet at OpenStack Summit to share their knowledge and experience. The summit is organized by the OpenStack Foundation around the world twice a year. This large and growing community includes leading IT companies such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Fujitsu, AT&T, Huawei or Yahoo.
Look forward to live Youtube video stream of the keynote where tcp cloud experts will process data acquired from Protronix CO2 sensors allocated around the facility and connected in just one big IQRF wireless mesh network (881,400 square feet). Collected data will be shared with summit participants and used as a database for one of event hackathons. The whole project is based on the OpenStack cloud platform provided by the tcp cloud. The IQRF technology is provided by the Czech company MICRORISC.
"This case study demonstrates the power of connection of a cloud solution and the IQRF wireless technology. Within few weeks you can prepare a project for collection, processing, analysis and distribution of almost any kind of data in a very large facility such as Austin Convention Center without kilometers of cables and complicated deployment," said Simon Chudoba, CEO of the IQRF Alliance.
Complex solutions in the field of IoT – Smart City will be presented by Cloud architects from the tcp cloud together with Simon Chudoba, CEO of the IQRF Alliance. tcp cloud team will collect, process, visualize and provide the data from twenty CO2 sensors in the congress center building to other participants during the following Hackathon.
"Together with the IQRF Alliance we connected two different worlds and created globally unique IoT platform which can be used for Smart Cities or Industry 4.0 concept," adds Adam Skotnicky, CEO of the tcp cloud.
If you are interested in seeing this project live, we would like to invite you to OpenStack Day Prague. Information about the conference organized by the tcp cloud in collaboration with the OpenStack Foundation can be found on openstackdayprague.eu.
